IT services in Beloeil: a website built, fast and kept up

The website is often the neglected corner of a small business’s IT: put together years ago, hosted nobody quite remembers where, never touched since. OKTO Solutions designs it, optimizes it for search and maintains it with the same team as everything else. We work from Trois-Rivières, about 138 km from Beloeil.

For a small business in Beloeil, OKTO Solutions designs the website, puts it online and maintains it: pages served ready-made so they open fast on a phone, a title, a description and structured data on each page, hosting on OKTO’s servers, backups and a visual editor for your own corrections. The domain name stays in your name.

Who can build and maintain the website of a Beloeil business?

OKTO Solutions offers its services to SMBs in Beloeil from its office in Trois-Rivières, about 138 km away, and website design is one of them. The same team draws the pages, writes the copy with the client, sets up the search optimization and puts the site online. The site is then hosted on OKTO’s servers, where it is backed up and monitored. Pages are served ready-made, with no database to query on each visit, which makes them open quickly on a phone. Each one gets a title, a description and structured data, and starts with a direct answer that search engines and assistants can pick up. After delivery, the client corrects a line of text or an image with a visual editor, and the domain name stays in the client’s name. OKTO has neither an office nor a technician stationed in Beloeil: the work is done remotely, and an in-person scoping meeting is scheduled when it is useful.

What the mandate holds

Design, speed, search, upkeep: what does the work include?

Four parts, plus a fifth that gets forgotten too often: who owns all of it.

PartWhat we doWhat stays in your hands
DesignLayout in your colours, copy written with you, pages checked on phone, tablet and desktopThe tone, proofreading the copy and approving the mock-up
SpeedPages served ready-made, no database, lightened imagesNothing to watch
SearchTitle, description, structured data, sitemap and internal links, for every pageThe questions your customers ask you, which we turn into pages
UpkeepHosting on our servers, backups, monitoring, search settings redone with every published changeSmall corrections, with the visual editor
OwnershipDomain registered in your name, site files handed over on requestThe domain, the code, the copy and the images

Is your current site on WordPress? Nothing has to be retyped. The copy, the images and the posts are carried over, and each old address is redirected to its new page.

The method

How does building the site go, step by step?

You see the site early, well before it is public. Fixing a mock-up costs next to nothing; fixing a published site is another story.

  1. Scoping. We look at who your customers are and what they search for. You leave with the list of pages, the scope and the schedule before you commit.
  2. Mock-up. The home page and one service page, in your colours, with real copy. This is the moment to adjust the tone.
  3. Copy and build. Pages are written with you, assembled, then placed on a preview address you check as work moves along.
  4. Carrying over the old site. Posts and images are recovered, and the old addresses each receive their redirect.
  5. Launch. The switch happens in a single move. The old site stays ready to take its place back if something goes wrong.
  6. Follow-up. Hosting, backups, monitoring and a traffic report.
No figure thrown out in advance. The amount depends on the number of pages, the languages, the copy to write and what has to be carried over from the old site. It is set after the scoping meeting, which comes with no commitment.

One change published: search settings and the backup are redone automatically, then the page is tried on three screen sizes.

After launch

Who keeps the site current once it is live?

We do. The site lives on our servers, with an encrypted connection, backups and monitoring day and night. The team that already protects complete IT fleets takes care of it.

A site does not age through its looks alone. Each time a page is added or a service changes, what the engines read has to follow: the sitemap, the structured data, the direct answers, the file meant for language models. All of that is redone with every published change, without you having to ask.

For day-to-day edits you do not need us. With the visual editor, you click on a line of text or a photo, change it and publish. A new section or a new page, on the other hand, goes through us.

And if the site goes down? It is backed up in full: pages, images, forms and settings. After an outage, a handling mistake or an attack, we restore the last healthy version. You have nothing to rebuild.

The ground

Beloeil, about 138 km from our office

Beloeil is a city in Montérégie, on the west bank of the Richelieu River, in the La Vallée-du-Richelieu regional county municipality. The Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) estimated its population at 25,027 in 2024.

20 and 116the autoroute and the route that pass through Beloeil

Autoroute 20 and Route 116 pass through Beloeil. We have neither premises nor a technician stationed there: everything is done from Trois-Rivières. The mock-up and the corrections are reviewed on the preview address, and we promise no on-site response time for Beloeil.

The website is not a service on its own. The team that builds it also manages IT fleets, so your site, your email and your domain name are followed by the same people. For workstations, Microsoft 365 and backups, the three service levels, Base, Standard and Complet, are presented on the packages page. The emergency line, for outages outside business hours, comes with the Complet plan. See also managed IT services, email protection for your domain and the list of service areas. Questions and answers

Your questions about website design in Beloeil

Do you have an office in Beloeil where we can meet?
No. Our only office is in Trois-Rivières, about 138 km from Beloeil. A website is built very well at a distance: you follow the progress on a preview address. An in-person scoping meeting is scheduled when it is useful.
Our site already shows up on Google. Will we lose our spot by rebuilding it?
That is the risk we deal with first. Before touching the site, we list every one of its addresses and each gets a destination in the new one. After the switch, we replay them all to check that they land in the right place. Pages Google already knows keep their path.
How long before the new site goes live?
It depends on complexity. A simple showcase site goes live quickly; an online store, a client portal or integrations with your software take longer. If you have a date to meet, say so at the scoping stage: the schedule is built around it, with the pages that matter most delivered first.
Will the site be fast on a phone?
Yes. Pages are served ready-made, with no database to query on each visit, and images are lightened. Every page is checked on phone, tablet and desktop before it is published.
Who owns the site and the domain name?
You do. The domain name is registered in your name, in an account you control. The complete site files are handed over on request, and everything written or produced for your pages belongs to you.
What does the site include for Law 25?
It ships with a cookie consent banner, a privacy policy and the name of the person in charge of personal information. No tracker starts before the visitor has said yes. A company’s compliance goes beyond its website, and OKTO Solutions is not a law firm.

Does your site come up when someone searches your trade in Beloeil?

Send us its address, or three sites you like if you are starting from scratch. We tell you what we would keep, what we would change and how big the job looks.
