But a day visit to Lavaltrie is nothing dramatic, and we say yes to it more readily than we do at 500 km.
Day-to-day work stays remote all the same: workstations, servers, network, Microsoft 365, patches, backups. It is faster for you, and it avoids billing mileage in place of diagnosis. Travel is reserved for what genuinely needs it, such as setting up a new office, cabling a unit in the 40/31 business park, or meeting leadership before an investment decision. The territory develops on three fronts: commercial and residential along route 138, the old Chemin du Roy; industrial north of Highway 40; then farmland and rural areas. The employers highlighted by the City set the tone: Coffrages Synergy in construction with more than 1,000 employees, Devolutions in technology with more than 150, IGA Crevier in food, and FCM Recyclage. A town that hosts the head office of an access management software publisher tends to have real IT expectations, and the businesses around it benefit from that.
