Demo sites: sports and fitness

Website design for gyms, fitness studios and tennis clubs

A gym or sports club website should show an up-to-date class schedule, let people book a court or a spot in a class, present memberships with their actual terms and introduce the coaches and their specialties. A new member can sign up from a phone without stopping at the front desk.

The background pulses to the beat of the music, then a 3D equalizer ring shifts its tempo through the three phases of the class.

How do you keep a fitness studio's class schedule from going stale?

A schedule posted as an image at the start of the season is out of date the moment the first class gets cancelled. On a fitness studio website, the schedule comes from one source, ideally the software that already handles registrations. Members see the current week on their phone, filter by class type or by coach, and check whether spots are left before they leave home. A substituted or cancelled class changes in one place and the update follows everywhere. For a spin or group strength studio, a waitlist makes a real difference too: the spot freed up at the last minute gets filled instead of sitting empty.

How does online tennis or pickleball court booking work on a club website?

At plenty of clubs, courts are still booked by phone, by text or on a sheet at the front desk. On the website, a grid shows each court by the hour, indoor and outdoor, with what's taken and what's open. The club's rules apply on their own: members book before the public, one player can't hold a court all evening, and a cancellation frees it for everyone else. Non-members pay for their hour online. The same page lists leagues, junior programs and intro pickleball clinics, which are often how new members find the club in the first place.

What should you show about memberships and coaches to get people to sign up?

Before joining, people want to know what's included, whether there's a commitment, whether they can freeze their membership for the summer and how to cancel. Quebec's Consumer Protection Act governs fitness centre contracts, including how they can be cancelled, so the site lays out the terms as they are, with no teaser price that climbs once you're at the desk. If the club would rather not post its rates, a clear request-a-quote button does the job. For coaches, a photo, the training they actually completed, their specialties and their availability are enough. People often pick a coach because they know knee injuries or the one-handed backhand.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions: Sports

Can my gym website connect to my gym management software?
Often, yes. Several fitness studio management platforms offer a scheduling or booking module that can be embedded in the site. If not, the site can run its own booking system. We look at what you already use before choosing.
Do I have to post membership prices on my website?
It isn't required, but people look for them. In Quebec, an advertised price has to include all mandatory fees, so the site shows the real amount or none at all. A price-on-request button that sends the offer is an honest alternative.
How do you handle court bookings for members and non-members?
The system applies rules by player type: members get priority, non-members pay for their hour online. The club's rules are written on the booking page, which saves arguments at the front desk.
Are Club Revers and Studio Cadence real clubs?
No. They are demo sites with made-up brands, built by OKTO Solutions to show what can be done for a tennis and pickleball club or a fitness studio. Your site starts from your classes, your courts and your team.
How much does a site like these cost, and how long does it take to go live?
The price is set after a no-commitment scoping meeting, based on the number of pages, the languages, the copy to write and features like booking or an online store. A simple showcase site goes live quickly; an online store or a client portal takes longer. If you have a fixed date, we build the schedule around it.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The domain name is registered in your name, the copy, images and analytics are yours, and the code is handed over on request.

Does one of these sites feel like you?

Tell us which one and tell us about your business. We will come back with a mockup in your colours and a clear price.
