Demo sites: plumbing
A plumber's website in Quebec shows the CMMTQ logo and licence number, keeps an emergency call button at the top of every page for flooded basements and leaking water heaters, lists the towns served and lets people book the jobs that can wait. Photos of real work, like a rebuilt water entry or a new water heater, say more than a long paragraph. OKTO Solutions builds this kind of site for plumbers across Quebec from its office in Trois-Rivières.

In Quebec, plumbing and heating contractor licences are issued by the Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ). The Régie du bâtiment says its members don't have to show their RBQ licence number in advertising, because their corporation's logo identifies them. In return, the CMMTQ's own regulation asks members to put that logo on every form of advertising they do, and on their quotes, contracts and invoices. On a website, the footer is the right spot, so the logo follows visitors from page to page. You can still add the licence number right beside it. Careful homeowners look for it before calling, and they find it without digging. Have your corporation or legal advisor confirm the details.
A homeowner with a flooded basement isn't reading your About page. They type "emergency plumber" and their town into their phone, often standing in water. The site has to get them your number in one tap: a Call button pinned to the top of the screen on every page. Right below it, a few things to do while they wait: shut off the main water valve, cut power or gas to the water heater if it's leaking, take photos for the insurer. Be straight about your hours. If you don't answer at night, say so and offer the first slot in the morning. Someone who reads "24/7" and gets voicemail won't call back, and they may well mention it in a Google review.
For anything that isn't an emergency, yes, and plenty of people would rather do it that way than phone. Replacing a water heater near the end of its life, installing a water softener, redoing the bathroom plumbing before the tile setter shows up: that work gets scheduled. A calendar that shows open slots by town saves a long back-and-forth. The form asks for the address, the type of job and a photo of the current setup, such as the water heater's rating plate. The plumber then shows up with the right part on the truck. List your service area town by town, with a page for the places you work most often. Visitors see right away whether you cover them, and Google links your business to those towns when someone nearby searches for a plumber.
| Element | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| CMMTQ logo and licence number in the footer | The corporation's rules call for the logo in advertising, and homeowners check the number. |
| Call button pinned on mobile | With water on the floor, people call the first plumber they can reach with one tap. |
| Service hours stated as they are | Promising nights you don't answer costs more than an honest schedule. |
| Online booking for planned work | A water heater swap or a bathroom redo gets booked without waiting on hold. |
| Photos of your own work | A rebuilt water entry or a cleared drain shows how you work better than any stock image. |
